Choosing Healthy Weight Loss Supplements and Products
This is not to say that all healthy weight loss supplements and products are evil. The key is to choose quality supplements that are good for you.

First of all try to choose natural products. Avoid supplements that contain synthetic chemicals that could give you a shocking surprise when it comes to side effects. Keep in mind that if you buy cheap diet supplements full of caffeine, you will get the jitters. You should also avoid ephedra which causes shakiness and heart attacks. You should also never exceed the recommended dosages for these products unless you really want to feel ill or perhaps even die.

There are also a lot of healthy weight Loss supplements on the market that are quite simply fake. Some make you anxious and others make you very fatigued. Read the labels and make sure what you are buying something pure, and organic. Always pay attention to recommended dosages for these products and never exceed them to avoid nasty side effects.

You should also only use products that have some kind of medical approval or proof of quality that is legitimate. This is because no diet products are subject to any kind of FDA approval. You need to read the labels to protect yourself from taking dangerous chemicals that can cause disorientation, nausea, dehydration and other problems.

Unfortunately most people have to take these weight Loss supplements for a number of weeks or even months to find out if they even work. It is hard to get your money back from these products if they don't work as usually you end up taking most of the weight loss supplements before you find out they are ineffective.

When you buy weight Loss supplements try to look for a glycemic index diet plan that come with pamphlets that offer proof that medical studies have been done. All you can do is read the labels to try and protect yourself. Yet another sign of a good healthy weight loss product is the offer of a full refund if the supplements do not work within a specified period of time.

How Was Coffee Discovered?

Firstly, you can start the coffee story with talking about a goat herder in Ethiopia. You had no idea that Java drinking started with goats, did you? You may be familiar with the fact that coffee trees are made up of berries, which house the beans inside. When you split open the berries during the harvesting process, there will be two beans inside each berry. Back to the story, this goat herder in Ethiopia centuries ago noticed that his goats were eating the berries off of this plant. After that fact, the goats were acting very energized and crazy, and he began to wonder exactly what they were eating. From that point, this herder had the idea to eat the berries, which allowed him to have the same energy as the goats. I am guessing that people were lined up to his hut around the block to get this new snack that would allow them to have energy throughout their day! Interestingly enough, these Ethiopian tribes actually rolled the coffee plant berries with animal fat to eat them. This is what we would now call an energy bar, which is an interesting concoction to be made by the early Ethiopians.

Arabs were also a part of the coffee discovery because they were the ones that got creative enough to brew the beans into a drink. This is something that became a part of the Arabic culture, and they have so much to offer us in the way that coffee is ground and brewed today. From there, coffee was passed on to Turkey, and into Europe. If you are familiar with Turkish coffee, then you will know exactly how they like to drink it, which is with a very, very fine grind that will then sit like sediment in the final brew product. Turkish Coffee is not for the weak because it is a very strong way to prepare coffee, which was made popular from the ancient days of coffee drinking in Turkey. After that, coffee was discovered by the European traders who were dealing in Turkey, and they had the pleasure of sampling the brew. They too discovered the energy benefits of coffee to put some pep in their step and get them through the day, which made them bring it home to Europe. I don't blame them!

All of this, just to get your cup of Joe in the morning? It is amazing to think of all that coffee has been through to be commercialized and socialized the way that it is in our American culture. You have a goat to thank!

Approaching Forex Capital Markets the Smart Way | ArticlesBase.com
You need to keep in mind five things when you are doing this and this includes things like in identifying the trade, analysing it thoroughly, subjecting it to financial analysis and assessing the potential trade against market conditions and managing the open position until you exit the trade. With these systems, data mining and researching would be much more targeted than you realise. This is because as you run through the five steps, you realise that each and every one of them produces a list which will the be able to help you to identify which information you will need to further and enhance your trading.

Also, you need to be honest with yourself and assess the size of your trading capital. You cannot trade in every opportunity, so you are financial limited, just like almost all traders out there so you need to be smart about the trades that you do enter. You also need to make the decision on just how much data is right for you to gain enough leverage and wisdom about the market. Some smart traders go into a market segment and concentrate their efforts there, and with that, they make alot more winning trades. Also, knowing what your trading style is, is also one of the more important things out there. It really is all about your approach, and I cannot stress this more with the people who are joining the Forex market for the first time.

Getting around the indices and currency exchange rate requires that you have a compass that shows you the way. There are so many good things about the Forex market, it is liquid, it has a zero sum game, its over the counter, it exists in a free market environment, its about as close to a perfect competition zone as you can get and it is one of the most liquid markets in the world. Already, with these things on hand, you have a market that is truly worth the time and expense of learning how to trade with currencies from all over the world. If you want to succeed in something you need to work smart not hard. You need to prioritise, forecast and decide.

These are the three steps any Forex investor will take on a daily basis. Approaching Forex capital markets the smart way is all dependent on you and how much you want to succeed. Tips For Decorating a Small Space

1) Create a Plan
Even if you plan to mix styles and have an eclectic look in your space, it is easy to get lost and muddled along the way if you don't have a plan. That doesn't mean you have to set rigid rules, but a goal or some guidelines can be very helpful when you go out shopping. Get an idea of how you want the room to feel. You might use vague ideas such as comfortable, flirty, tranquil, fun, or energizing. But you also may have a specific style in mind like English country, mid century modern, shabby chic, transitional, or bohemian. It is even possible to build a room off a single color. You may know that you want a pink room or a neutral palette and that can be your starting point. Whatever inspired you, keep that in mind as you shop or plan

2) Consider the Scale
There is no rule that small space must equal small furniture and accessories. Actually, a large piece of furniture can make the room seem larger if handled properly. If you are going to use something larger scale keep, other items in the room simple and accessories to a minimum. For example, a large bed can look dramatic and beautiful in a small bedroom, but use restraint with other items so it doesn't feel overwhelming or busy. Lots of little pieces can make the room feel claustrophobic. It is important to remember that you can have too much of a good thing. Anything that makes the room feel cluttered or busy will make it seem smaller.

3) Edit, Edit, Edit.
One of the first steps to successful decorating is choosing pieces wisely, but it is even more important when decorating a small space. Those of us that live in a small space have to face the facts that we can not squeeze every piece of furniture or knick knack that we like into our homes. Try to choose pieces that work appropriately in scale and with the style that you are trying to achieve. If you can't bear to part with grandma's china hutch then pare other things down. Think of your rooms like a bank account: there is only so much floor space or money, if you will, in your account so spend your square footage wisely. That hutch maybe a third of your budget, but if you love it, it may be worth it.

4) Take Risks
One of the great benefits of a small space is that there is less of it to cover. If you change your mind about something, it is much easier and less expensive to change. Perhaps you took a chance on a paint color and don't love it, it only takes 1 gallon to fix rather than the 5 gallons it could take another space. Or maybe you fell in love with a pricey fabric, one pillow can have dramatic presence in a small space that could be lost in a larger one. Have fun and don't be afraid to try it.

Small space decorating holds special challenges, but even those with more square footage can benefit. With a few tips and little homework your small space can be fabulous!

Assessing for Success
Peter Drucker, Management Guru
1909 - 2005

Assessing For Success: Exposing the Misinformation about Assessments

Assessment: To determine the rate or amount of; to make an official valuation of for the purposes of judgment; to determine the importance, size, or value of something or someone.

Why do most professionals get the assessment process wrong?

In a recent presentation to a group of coaching professionals, we confirmed that many of CRGÂ's concerns with how, where, why, what, and when assessments are deployed are serious and legitimate.

It appears that many professionals in the career, HR, training, and coaching fields have just enough information about assessments to be dangerous -- but not enough to be knowledgeable.

It also appears that academics (professors) are misleading their students about tests and assessments -- and the true purpose of these processes.

Why is CRG on this crusade?!

We believe most professionals are well meaning but are seriously deficient in their understanding of the differences between assessments and tests -- and their respective purpose in the personal and professional development process.

Test Your Knowledge and Understanding of Assessment Design
1. What does Ipsative mean?
2. What does Psychometric mean?
3. What are Norms?
4. What does Reliability mean?
5. What does Predictive Validity mean?
6. What does Face Validity mean?
7. What is the difference between a test and an assessment?
8. What is the purpose of an assessment?

The reality is that most professionals do not have the correct answers to the above questions. Because many think they do, we find that ignorance is one of the biggest issues we face.

A coach in attendance at our program was a PhD student in the midst of his measurement module. During the break, he came to me to say how relieved he was.

"YouÂ're right about the half-truths and misinformation about tests and measurement. For weeks I have been struggling with some of teachings in my class that were not congruent with the development of a person. It seemed the entire focus was about the test and its design, never about how this testing process was going to impact the user or client. In fact the administratorÂ's elitist and arrogant attitude proclaimed that he, as The Professional, was the only one qualified to tell a person who he or she is."

For over 2 decades, we have witnessed the mentality that "only professionals with test results in hand are qualified to assess." As the participant, you could not possibly know yourself, right?

Assessments should never be about the test itself. They must ALWAYS be about what the process will do for the individual, team, or group. Unfortunately many professionals make it about their being right and about the test results -- not about the actionable information an individual can understand and own from the process.

Misinformation from Ipsative Designed Tools

For years many assessments have claimed predictive validity and the ability to create norms for specific groups. The problem with these statements is that these assessments are based on an Ipsative design -- where you have interrelated scales or responses to a question such as least-most or rank-order scales.

All assessments that use this type of design can never have predictive validity or the ability to create norms. That means any such claims are simply false.

Yet many assessments in the marketplace still make such statements

Lessons We Have Learned about the Assessment Process
- Because something is popular does not mean it is valid or of good quality.
o For example, the June 2005 Journal of Consulting Psychology had serious concerns about the validity of MBTI, even though many professionals still use it.
o Pay attention to the design structure.
- You need to understand and challenge the assessment methodology
o Take the survey/assessment process seriously!
- Cute images and metaphors devalue the assessment process and content -- for example, animals, colors, and other non-related images. If, as the user, I do not understand the model on its own without explanation, donÂ't expect me to have a memory long enough to apply it.
o All assessments and processes must and should have a purpose. The assessment MUST be about serving the user, not the professional.
o DonÂ't confuse the user by having several different models on the same topic.
o You must consider the implications of liability in using predictive tools.
o Ipsative tools cannot have predictive validity.
o The 360º process can have huge value as part of the assessment process.
o If it requires your presence to administer or debrief, you have created a dependency relationship, not an empowered relationship.
o If the client does not understand the process for achieving the results, how can he or she act on the information in the future?
o Most Clients DonÂ't Want to Take a Test

Principles to Consider

Give psychology away for the benefit of the learner.
Assessments are something that you do with your clients, not to your clients.

Questions to Ask Yourself Before Using Assessment
o What is the purpose of an assessment?
o What are some of the benefits to the client of using assessments?
o What are some of the benefits to the professional of using assessments?
o Why should you consider using assessments as a part of most coaching interventions?

Questions about the Assessment(s) You Are Considering
o Is the assessment professional and would it be taken seriously?
o Is it really valid?
o Is it easy to use and understand?
o Is the language understandable on its own . . . without explanation?
o Do you fully understand the design and application?

What Can You Assess?
o Anything and everything:
- Leadership
- Personal Style
- Values
- Self-Worth
- Health
- Interests and Gifts
- Entrepreneurial Skills
- Communication Skills
- Other?

Assessments are very powerful and practical tools to accelerate the personal and professional development process. If used incorrectly or with misinformation, however, you can do more harm than good.

Pay attention to the details and always consider the benefits and outcomes the assessment will have for the participant. If there are no benefits, why bother with the process?

That is why all CRG assessments have been developed with the learner in mind -- and the fact that 80% of professionals switch to CRG resources once the differences have been revealed to them.

Break Up Advice Just For You
วันจันทร์ที่ 3 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2552
Caffeine Helps Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Patients

They've been studying caffeine (again!), and this time, the news is all good. Once maligned as all-around bad for you, the lively substance has now been given a clean bill of health by ... well, everyone

The most effective caffeine, though, is in tablet form, not in coffee, because the 100-plus other compounds in coffee probably block some of the effect of caffeine.Megadoses, however, are not the right answer.

Caffeine, which speeds metabolism, is the most-active ingredient in many "diet pills.Caffeine breaks down fat, freeing fatty acids which are immediately burned. Conversion of fat to energy is about 30 percent more efficient when caffeine is consumed prior to exercise."

Many studies have shown that coffee can help in the prevention and treatment of diseases and illnesses as varied as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, liver disease, skin cancer, Parkinsons's disease and more. Although, I don't believe coffee would be the cure all to any of these diseases, many ancient cultures did rely on the coffee bean to cure a long list of ailments. Not to mention, small doses of caffeine can increase performance and mental focus.

People should stop looking at caffeine as a bad drug and realize caffeine's benefits outweigh its downfalls. Ninety percent of people across the world have drank caffeine for its stimulating effects. Caffeine is used in many medications and even has many benefits for just daily consumption as well. Caffeine isn't a terrible thing that we should quit taking, and start buying all caffeine free pop for our children. Caffeine by itself has many advantages for people and also for the medical field too.

The physical and mental advantages of caffeine outweigh the disadvantages. If a person consumes a moderate consumption of caffeine then they will actually benefit from that.

Caffeine has been proven to increase work capacity, stimulate respiration, and perform Intellectual tasks more easily. Caffeine greatly increases the metabolic processes used in everyday activity, resulting in an increase in breathing rates. Caffeine can also raise some persons body temperature due to the increase in blood flow and muscle activity
On May 24, 2000, the Journal of the American Medical Association revealed that men who do NOT drink regular coffee are FIVE TIMES more likely to develop Parkinson's Disease than those who drink 4 1/2 to 5 1/2 cups a day!The researchers said the benefits are probably due to caffeine. Apparently the more the better.Outside experts said the findings, if confirmed, could lead to ways to treat Parkinson's more effectively or even prevent the disease, which afflicts 1 million Americans.

Right now, adeno-sine is coursing through your veins, and its job is to put the brakes on your central nervous system. You might call it nature's chill pill. That's because as your day progresses, adenosine builds up naturally in your bloodstream, causing you to slow down and become sleepier.Adenosine accomplishes this total-body shutdown by plugging into adenosine receptors--like electrical cords into outlets. "These connections inhibit the release of neurotransmitters, which are chemical messengers that control both brain and muscle function. But as it turns out, caffeine is an excellent adenosine impersonator. In fact, when the two rivals jockey for the same parking space, caffeine wins. What's more, blocking adenosine may slow the buildup of amyloid-beta, a toxic brain plaque that's associated with Alzheimer's disease

Back-to-back studies published online today in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, show caffeine significantly decreased abnormal levels of the protein linked to Alzheimer's disease, both in the brains and in the blood of mice exhibiting symptoms of the disease.Based on these promising findings in mice, researchers at the Florida ADRC and Byrd Alzheimer's Center at USF hope to begin human trials to evaluate whether caffeine can benefit people with mild cognitive impairment or early Alzheimer's disease.

While a number of advanced Alzheimer's drugs and treatments have been developed in recent years, University of Florida researchers are actually treating symptoms that might appear.Human subjects were not used in the study, only mice that were bred to develop Alzheimer's.They fed half of the laboratory animals a heavy diet of caffeine once they saw signs of the disease. The research team was surprised at the results. The mice fed the caffeine performed much better on memory tests than those that didn't receive the caffeine.

Researchers say they are eager to launch clinical trials with human subjects, believing they are close to ending a scourge of aging. They say caffeine is safe for most people and easily absorbed by the brain, and appears to directly attack the disease.
